Ged Quinn and the allegorical paintings

Ged Quinn (1966 - Liverpool)
Idyllic scenes and controversial pictures flowing from Quinn`s mind

It is a Melting Pot of references, symbols, characters, political icons, surreal landscapes and dream realities that attract the viewer to pleasant, fantastic, iconic and disturbing experiences

In the V4 #11 of Vice Magazine Quinn was interviewed about his work. Milène Larsson asked him "is there any story behind your works?", and Quinn answered: "Yes, but there is not only one that has it in a lineal sense. It is more like a formal literally experiment, as James Joyce did in Finnegans Wake where all those idioms mix up but keeping belonging to something understandable and coherent. You have the sensation to understand it until certain point, but I`m not sure if it is something concious or not".
