Doris Salcedo is one of the most important artists nowadays. Her work has been shown all around the world, not because of its decorative usefulness, but because of its political meaning, its conceptual subversive statements. Political sense, memory, images resisting the overshadowing effect of visual violence derived from social conflicts (as the colombian one), are three of the most important qualities of her aesthetics proposes.
